Why is it that one-year-olds think they need to get into everything...literally?
I seriously don't get it. What goes through their little minds that makes them think they need to get into everything? Brody is growing faster then ever! I can't keep up with him anymore. By the time I get one room cleaned up, he already has the rest of the house torn apart. Every day he finds something new. And he can now reach things he couldn't before so I have to continually rearrange drawers so he cant get anything dangerous. Like the other day I found him running around the house with a pizza cutter! One kid shouldn't be this difficult! I get so frustrated with him during the day and then I lay down at night and think of how much I just love him. He drives me crazy!

Happy Halloween!
Moses, Bo and Brody

The cutest chicken I've ever seen!

I hope everyone had a happy Halloween! We did! We went up to Salt Lake for Halloween this year. It was our fist year taking Brody trick or treating. Of course he didn't understand what was going on but he still had fun. He was the cutest chicken I have ever seen! We only went to a couple houses in my mom's neighborhood. Brody didn't really like stopping at the houses, he would have rather just kept on walking down the street. So we took him over to my grandma's condo and let him run down the halls. He had so much fun. And it was hilarious watching him waddle in his little chicken costume.
After all the running around he did, I finally took him home and put him to bed. And then the real party began! Scott and I had our own little party with my little brother and my parents. (I know. I am a nerd) We made Carmel corn, watched a Halloween movie and put together a Halloween puzzle. I don't know about everyone else, but I had a blast!

Bad weekend!
Friday night around 1:00am Brody wakes up screaming like he has never screamed before. I ran in his bedroom only to find him throwing up everywhere. So I calmed him down, cleaned him up, changed his sheets and put him back down to sleep. Little did I know, that night was going to be my second worst night of Brody's life. (The worst night was the day we brought him home from the hospital. But that's another story.) Anyway, this continued throughout the rest of the night. By 5:00am I finally called the doctor. I found out the had gotten the flu and that there was not much I could do about it. (I was just grateful to hear that it wasn't the swine flu) I felt so helpless watching my poor baby throwing up while screaming and shaking because he was so scared. Normally, Brody is very active and loves to play in his room with all his toys. But this weekend he just snuggled with me as we watch Micky Mouse over and over and over AND OVER AND OVER AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN. Saturday night was a little better, well, for him anyway. I on the other hand, spend most of my night in the bathroom. Sunday we were both feeling better. So we assumed that it was all over. Nope. We were wrong. Scott had his turn with the bathroom that night. And Brody was still pretty sick. Luckily, I was feeling better. So with Scott in our bedroom, and me laying on the couch with Brody, we mad it through Monday. Tuesday, Scott was feeling better. We thought Brody was better too until he threw up again. I called the doctor again. He said Brody will be fine as long as we keep him hydrated. Today he has been acting quite normal so I hope it is all over but I guess we will just have to wait and see. I hate cold and flu season!!!

I did it!
I did it! I ran first my marathon! And I finished! I am so happy. I feel such a sense of accomplishment. All the hard training finally paid off. And I can't wait to do it again. I feel like I have learned so much about myself from running. I had never pushed myself so hard and now that I have I feel like I can do just about anything. I learned to focus on what is really important. I have learned to always set new goals because I may be surprised by what I can actually do. I have learned that pain is temporary and that sometimes, it's just worth it! I also realized how blessed I am to have such a supportive family. I know I couldn't have done it without them. I want them to know how grateful I am and that I love them all so much. Thanks everyone!

They grow up so freaking fast!!!
I was just looking through so old pictures of Brody and I just can't believe how fast time has gone by.
This is when the fun began with my two sister in laws Julie and Tammie....

Hahaha! Yes I really was that big!!!
Then things got a little stressful...

But then it got fun again....

And now... It's a blast!!!

It's like they just got cuter and cuter!

Binkies Binkies Everywhere!
My little Brody LOVES his binkies! He loves to carry them all over the house. (and I mean ALL of them - you can see in the picture)It's so funny cause he loves to switch them out. One minute I will look over and he will have a blue binky in his mouth and the next minute he will have a green one in. He will walk into his room with a red binky and then he will walk out with a white binky. All day long he switches them out! And he loves to put his binky inside whatever he can find. I have found his binkies everywhere. I have found them in his hamper, in the garbage, in the dryer, in his toys, and in all the drawers in the house that he can open! Every time I find a binky it just brings a smile to my face because I think "that's my Brody!"
